Americana Highways is hosting this premiere of The Cleverlys’ version of Dr. John’s song “Right Place, Wrong Time” from their forthcoming album Solid Butter. Solid Butter was produced by Paul Harris; recorded by Scott Vestal of Scott Vestal’s Digital Underground Studio in Greenbrier, TN; and mixed and mastered by Scott Barnett at Crossroads Studios-Studio C in Burbank, CA. Additional post production was also performed by Scott Barnett and Jeff Collins.
This version of this song is Dr. Digger on vocals; Ricky Lloyd on bass and vocals; DVD on banjo and vocals; Haggis on mandolin, guitar and vocals; and Wasper on dobro and vocals.

“Right Place Wrong Time” went directly from my ‘road jam’ playlist to the record. It’s one of those songs that has me playing the ‘dash drums’ with Dr. John’s signature groove, and we can all identify with the story, in that you feel like you’re always coming up just a little short. — Dr. Digger
