Americana Highways is happy to present this premiere of The Roles Band’s song “I Try.” The Roles Band is a Ukrainian band. The music was composed by Stanislav Syroyid, with lyrics written by Anastasia Savisko.
“I Try” is Anastasia Savisko on vocals; Stanislav Syroyid on guitar; Bohdan Demchuk on bass; and Andrew Plyshchuk on drums.
It’s certainly not every day that we get to feature a band of Ukrainians. Luckily these folks are safe, but, it is nice to feel connected in some way to the Ukrainian people right now. The Roles Band has a heavier electric roots rock style. There’s some electric bass and guitar dissonance, and Anastasia delivers some seriously badass, bluesy vocal vibes. “I’m lovin’ you, believin’ you, I’m feeling no shame,” it’s a very sexy affair, into a wall of rock ‘n roll sound.
