Video Premiere: Gregory Dwane “Gone and Changed” with Amy Ray

Listen & Watch Video Premieres

Americana Highways is hosting this video premiere of Gregory Dwane’s song “Gone and Changed,” with Amy Ray, from Dwane’s recently released self-titled album. The album was produced by Gregory Dwane and mixed by Brandon Bell, Mark Plati and Mike Semple.

“Gone and Changed” is Gregory Dwane Griffith on vocals, acoustic and rhythm guitars; Jim Parker on lead guitar and Amy Ray on vocals; plus Gregory D. Griffith on bass; Jordan Rose on drums; Dan Lead on Pedal Steel; Bennett Sullivan on banjo; and Shaun Balin on fiddle.

The low light of the video sets the stage for the thoughtful song by Dwane.  “Who wants to live like that?”  is a good question.  Something’s got to change.  The song offers good solid advice by a good solid songwriter.

The premise of this song is simple; it’s about realizing that the feeling that you had for someone has gone and because of that, your relationship has changed. This was a really fun video to make. We had an entirely different video fully planned out, and it all fell apart about four days before we were scheduled to shoot. I had the band booked, and had to do something … so I reached out to my friend Jenna Pace (she directed two other music videos for me recently). She knows how to be scrappy and get stuff done — we brought this whole thing together last minute and it turned out really great. — Gregory Dwane
