The Imaginaries — “You Already Know”

Americana Highways brings you this video premiere of The Imaginaries’ song “You Already Know,”  which was recorded at Portside Sound at Cypress Moon Studios, mixed by Ryan Lipman, and mastered by David Glasser.  The song was recorded but did not make it onto their recently released self-titled album.

“You Already Know” is Maggie McClure on vocals and Wurlitzer 200A; Shane Henry on vocals, electric and acoustic guitars; Kelvin Holly on electric guitar; Rob Humphreys on drums and percussion; and Shonna Tucker on bass guitar.

The music video was directed by Reagan Elkins with Intellego Media.  The video contains rather amazing relics of the 1970s in it, with accompanying color schemes, while the duo performs homestyle scenes.  The song is pretty and the Imaginaries have a very appealing grit to their harmonies and a heartfelt crescendo.

The song was written for and first performed at our wedding ceremony ten years ago,” says Maggie McClure and Shane Henry. “Since the song has a more soulful feel than our other music, we took a more a whimsical approach with the video. We filmed it in a beautiful mid-century modern home in Chickasha, OK and shows us exploring life as a married couple while giving a nod to classic ‘70s American sitcoms.  — Maggie and Shane
