Rosie’s Ghost — “Mexico”

Americana Highways presents this video premiere of Rosie’s Ghost’s song “Mexico,” a song that is part of their new album Bandida. Bandida was produced and engineered by Ezra Meredith at Deer Lodge Studios. The Rosie’s Ghost due Jessica Kunze and Sally Peters intend their debut album to be listened from start to finish.  Twelve songs long, it tells a story.  The album was recorded in the open air of Peters’ barn’s loft due to Covid safety concerns.

“Mexico” is Sally Peters on rhythm guitar and lead vocals; Jessica Kunze on bass and backing vocals; Jaimie Meldrum on fiddle; Scott Pettitt on drums; Neil Mangrum on lead guitar; and Paul Brainard on trumpet.  This song is a light spirited celebration of happiness and optimism that showcases the duo well.

The video was created by Monika McFadden at EchoFox Photography.

The ‘Mexico!’ video was an absolute joy to make and I think that really comes through. It is a fun departure from some of the more serious themes that the record deals with.  – Jessica Kunze
