“Our DNA” is Neilson Hubbard on vocals; Danny Mitchell on piano, horn, and harmony; Juan Solorzano on guitar; and Will Kimbrough on guitar.
The video was created by Joshua Britt and Neilson Hubbard at Neighborhoods Apart. “Our DNA” is a song about lineage and reverence for the ages, and Neilson Hubbard pulls it off with excellence in a hushed, wistful arrangement.
This song is about who we are and what we pass down through generations of family. I wrote it for my son a few days before we recorded the album. I put him to bed most nights and we shine this little toy star spinner on the ceiling. We watch these stars and talk about what’s out there beyond what we can touch or see…..What’s bigger than us.
