Vicious Kitty “Bangkok City”
Americana Highways is hosting this video premiere of Vicious Kitty’s song “Bangkok City” from their recently released self-titled, self-produced album.
Hailing from Seattle, Vicious Kitty brings their grunge rock sound to full bear as they purge feelings of being inhibited, crushed, and needing to get away from it all and leave the bearkup and everything that’s been holding the behind in the rearview.
The idea of “Bangkok City” is a promised land of sorts, a place where maybe everything can be forgotten and life can renewed and the grim realities of recent arguments and difficulties (he is carrying his belongings in a trash bag, after all) can be escaped.
Musicians on “Bangkok City” are Matt Tantrum (songwriter) on guitar and vocals, drummer Chris “Stixx” Gartland on drums, and Tony Terlicker on bass.
As Matt Tantrum tells us about the song, “Vicious Kitty’s approach brings that story into a musical world built around rock energy and pop accessibility. The sound is an edgy mix of rock, grunge and pop, shaped by years of performing throughout Seattle and along the West Coast.”
Sing it out loud with the band: “You can’t tell me that my dreams are gonna die, you can’t hurt me once I get to paradise.”
