Americana Highways presents this premiere of Jenny Reynolds’ song from her forthcoming album Willow & Stone, which is set for release on June 19. The album was produced by Mark Hallman, and engineered by André Moran at Cedar Creek Studio in Austin, Texas.
This song will be available on June 5.
“Learning To Be Yours” is Jenny on acoustic guitar and vocals; Mark Hallman on percussion, bass, Hammond, harmonica, and harmonies; and Noëlle Hampton and BettySoo on background vocals.
As Jenny says, “This acoustic, finger-picked song is a product of falling in love and getting married. After the loss of my first wife, I didn’t think it would happen again. The reminder that no relationship is perfect so long as humans are in them is the bluesy note early in the guitar solo (1:53). Being human is lovable.”
Jenny Reynolds is an exceptional songwriter who is about to grace music lovers with a new album later this month. This song is emotionally honest as it explores the passions and meaning of a new and abiding relationship – one with a wide open horizon. Beautiful.
