Song Premiere: Bedroom “Better Friends”

Listen & Watch Song Premieres

Americana Highways presents this premiere of Bedroom’s song “Better Friends,” from his forthcoming album Thread, due to be available on April 28 on Amuse Records.

“Better Friends” is Noah Kittinger on acoustic and electric guitars, vocals, bass, Wurlitzer and synthesizer, drums and percussion; and Bennett Littlejohn (Hovvdy, Sinai Vessel) on pedal steel.

Acoustic guitar, a slow-bouncy bass line and “your back is against the wall again,” is the way this indie folk song sets the stage.  “Time will tell if I’m content … ” and the song unfolds, capturing a sense of reflective ennui in dramatic dreamscape just as first the fuzzy electric guitar and then the pedal steel kick in, outlining insomnia against the steady pop of the baseline.

Overall I feel like the mood on this album changes within each track, sometimes drastically. I wanted to exhibit my own mood swings and thought changes throughout the tracks. “Better Friends” is chill yet upbeat and direct, cinematic and gritty at times.  – Noah Kittinger (Bedroom)
