Moon Shine — “Ether of My Mind”

Americana Highways brings you this premiere of Moon Shine’s song “Ether of My Mind,” from her forthcoming album The Land In Between, due to be available on November 11. The Land In Between was produced, mixed and engineered by Teddy Kumpel (Joe Jackson, Feist, Rickie Lee Jones) at Atomic Sound in Brooklyn.

“Ether of My Mind” is Michael Blake on saxophone; Todd Caldwell  (Stephen Stills, James Taylor, Bonnie Raitt) on fender rhodes; Angie Glasscock on lead vocals; Teddy Kumpel on electric guitar, acoustic guitar, acoustic 12 string guitar, and background vocals; Cat Popper (Jack White, Willie Nelson, Levon Helm) on electric bass; and Steve Williams (Sade, David Byrne, Keith Richards)on drums.

“Ether of My Mind” is an original concept yet is simultaneously near and dear and familiar, and Moon Shine makes it feel cozy and dreamy.  Drifting, falling in love, true blue in the ether of my mind, gentle as a breeze.

I’m a romantic, easily swept up by emotion. Once a spark flares, I’m off, lost in possibilities in my head.

This song is about trying to stay in the moment while pondering my fate. – Angie Glasscock
