Song Premiere: Ben Balmer “Fall”

Listen & Watch Song Premieres

Americana Highways brings you this premiere of Ben Balmer’s version of the song “Fall,” from his forthcoming compilation album Ben Balmer & Friends: Volume 1. For this album, Ben recorded versions of songs written by good friends that he and his band have been playing at live shows for years. “Fall” was written by Raina Leigh Krause, and was originally recorded by Austin-based string band, The Love Leighs. The album was produced by Ben Balmer and Justin Douglas; recorded at King Electric Studios & Same Sky Productions; engineered by Justin Douglas; and mastered by Andre Castro.

“Fall” is Ben Balmer on vocals, acoustic guitar, and harmonica; Josh Flowers on upright bass; Aaron Parks on drums; and Eddie Dickerson on fiddle.  Kick back and enjoy the old-timey, timeless vibes of Ben Balmer.  This song will stick with you.  “If you should fall, you should fall down drunk, never fall in love”!  The fiddle really smokes!

This song was written by my good friend Raina Leigh Krause out of Austin TX. I’ve always been a fan of hers, especially her writing, where she pulls in humor and wit to darker thematic elements. This song is no different, singing advice joyfully to the listener to “Never fall in Love”. It’s fun, it’s funny, and very Raina. I’m very happy to share her music with my audience. — Ben Balmer

This single will be available on streaming sites only, listeners can bookmark the album release at https://www.benbalmer.com/music or follow Ben directly on Spotify for access to singles as soon as they are released.
