This video is absolutely riveting. What’s in the bag he keeps carrying from place to place? Will he find a woman to take him in? All on the gray streets of Boston. This haunting song seems like just an innocent rock song until you give it more of a listen and appreciate its twists and turns.
During the beginning of the pandemic, I remember they were letting lots of prisoners out of jail because of COVID ripping through the prison systems. I imagined a man that was released, but had no place to actually go. I liked the idea of him trying to pick up women using his songwriting skills to find a place to actually live until he got his feet under him. — Matt York
