Taylor Rae — “Window”

Americana Highways is hosting this video premiere of Taylor Rae’s song “Window” from her recently released album Mad Twenties. Mad Twenties was produced by William Gawley, engineered and mixed by Bryce Roberts, and recorded at OmniSound Studios in Nashville,TN

Musicians on the Mad Twenties album are Taylor Rae on vocals, background harmonies and acoustic guitar; Dave Francis on bass; Wayne Killius on drums; David Flint on acoustic guitar and mandolin; Chris Nole on piano and keys.

The video is courtesy of Charlotte Avenue Pictures.  It was directed by William Gawley and produced by Michelle Robertson.  “There’s a space inside my bones,” is borne out visually with this psychedelic video.  The visual windows bend reality as the song explores concepts of transparency, and the lack thereof, with a dreamy arrangement that’ll focus you inward.

During Pre-production with Taylor, we both agreed that we didn’t want to shoot a “typical music video.” The use of suspended broken down windows, green screen technology, specialized targeted lighting, and animation was the perfect combination of old school technology and cutting-edge “psychedelic” effects to create a unique and effective music video. It was a joy to direct. – William Gawley, Director

From picking out the windows to choosing the wardrobe, makeup and color scheme with Taylor for “Window,” was a labor of love! The 60’s vibe really appeals to us both and our makeup artist Sarah is a true artist!
