Craig Greenberg — “Going Back to the Start”
Americana Highways is hosting this premiere of Craig Greenberg’s song “Going Back to the Start,” from his forthcoming album. The album was produced and mixed by Wayne Silver (@The Ice Plant LIC), and mastered by Alex Psaroudakis.
“Going Back to the Start” is Craig Greenberg on piano, organ, guitars, bass, all vocals, and percussion; and Hiroyuki Matsuura on drums. The piano is prominent on this moody creation that “breaks the chains” from brooding, to turn the corner and come back swinging. Craig Greenberg knows how to channel a fighting optimism.
The idea for “Going Back To The Start” came about when i saw a picture of myself from when I was just graduating college–to see myself very freshed face, before i had gone through any real dramatic events in my life – e.g.,the separation of my parents, the years of illness and subsequent passing of my mother…before I had begun the hard road of a career in the music industry. The song is about the desire of wanting to return to an earlier time, when life seemed only full of possibilities and potential. — Craig Greenberg
