Song Premiere: Glenn Edward Hall “Winter With Old Put”

Listen & Watch Video Premieres

Americana Highways presents this video premiere of Glenn Edward Hall’s song “Winter With Old Put,” from his album Clouds Turn Black.  Clouds Turn Black was mixed by Caleb Hall in Atlanta, mastered by Sage Audio in Nashville, with album photography by Cindy Hall, and album artwork by Max Hall and Cindy Hall.

“Winter With Old Put” is Glenn Edward Hall on guitars, bass, and vocals; Caleb Hall (LOOKiT) on drums; and Jenee Fleenor (Blake Shelton) on fiddle.

The video was shot and edited by Max Hall for Maximum Effect Media.  Winter photography and video footage can be very dramatic, so it is a perfect setting for this song about the Revolutionary War and troops having to survive the brutal winter.  Glenn Edward Hall creates songs identifying universally relatable aspects of history, inviting us to consider our human frailty along with him.

“Winter With Old Put” was written about Revolutionary War General Israel Putnam. The video was shot on location in Redding, CT at the site where Putnam and his troops endured the brutal winter of 1778-79. It’s a tribute to all veterans and I urge veterans in crisis to call 1-800-273-8255. –  Glenn Edward Hall

Clouds Turn Black is available on all streaming platforms. Physical copies of the EP may be ordered at http://glennedwardhall.com
