Hank Erwin — “Altana”

Americana Highways is hosting this video premiere of Hank Erwin’s song “Altana” from his forthcoming album The Copper Album, due to be released on Oct 22..  The album was recorded at Portside Sound in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. All songs on the album were written, arranged, and produced by Erwin, and engineered by Jamie Sego and Albert Rothstein. “Altana” was mixed by Chris Bethea.

“Altana” is Hank Erwin on vocals and guitars; Shonna Tucker on bass and harmony vocals; Adam Nurre on drums; Daniel Stoddard on organ; and Nick Ware on harmony vocals.  The video uses dramatic lighting in color to grab your attention and it really works to draw you in.  The song is a real and intriguing song  with a very catchy hook and a very memorable title.  Hank Erwin makes true country music.

I wrote this about a girl I met in Austin and I used her real name in the song, which is generally uncool to do but I was certain there had never been another song with the name Altana in it and I asked her about 100 times and she said it was okay. — Hank Erwin
