Chris Jones & the Night Drivers — “They’re Lost Too”
Americana Highways presents this premiere of Chris Jones & The Night Drivers’ song “They’re Lost Too,” from their forthcoming album, Make Each Second Last, which will be out October 15. Make Each Second Last was produced by Chris Jones, recorded, mixed and mastered by Scott Barnett at Crossroads Studios in Arden, NC.
“They’re Lost Too” is Chris Jones on acoustic guitar and lead vocals; Marshall Wilborn on bass; Mark Stoffel on mandolin and harmony vocal; and Grace van’t Hof on banjo and harmony vocals. Bright and shiny like the first rays of morning sunlight, Chris Jones and the band play a song of wide open mercy. The music is delivered by their trademark multi-talented crew. It’s important that the least among us should not be ignored or forgotten.
This was my first co-write with band member Grace van’t Hof. This is really a gospel song about unity and inclusion, and it blends three different parables, the idea being that until that 100th sheep of the flock is brought in, the other 99 are lost, too. — Chris Jones
