Americana Highways brings you this premiere of Jefferson Berry and the UAC’s song “We’ll Soon Be Together” from their forthcoming album Soon due to be available on April 26. Soon was produced by Jefferson Berry and Matt Muir at Kawari Sound, Wyncote PA and Retro City Studios.
“We’ll Soon Be Together” is Jefferson Berry on acoustic guitar and vocals; Bud Burroughs on mandolin; Dave Brown on lap steel; Marky B! Berkowitz on harmonica; Uncle Mike Damora on bass and Caleb Estey on drums. You’ll be flooded with a sense of needed reassurance on this one, in a song of promise and hope.
What families, lovers and communities have been going through during the plague has been unnatural. Surreal. The only thing that has managed to keep us sane is the notion that this will be over Soon.
The band played one, outside show in August. We’ve been sharing musical ideas with an online studio which has served as a rehearsal medium. It has been hard keeping a band together this year, but everyone in the Urban Acoustic Coalition is excited about where we’re going this year. — Jefferson Berry
