Listen & Watch Song Premieres

Americana Highways brings you this premiere of 3 Pairs of Boots’ song “Angels of the Trail” from their forthcoming album Long Rider, due to be available on January 29.  Long Rider was produced by Andrew Stern, mixed by Bart Schoudel and Rob Beaton, mastered by Chris Athens with cover art design by Jeremy Fetzer and photography by Eric Wolfinger.

“Angels of the Trail” is drums by Christian Paschall, vocals by Laura Arias and all other instruments by Andrew Stern. This song is a philosophical exploration of the idea that we are never alone.  A signature characteristic of 3 Pairs of Boots is that they go on some deep dives.  Take this one with them.

Our good friend Wren Winfield, filmmaker for the Lady Long Rider documentary about Bernice Ende, shared her thoughts with me one day about all the people who helped Bernice out while she was on the trail. She referred to them as angels. — Andrew Stern

DuBois quote from Tennessee Williams’ Streetcar Named Desire: ‘Whoever you are…I have always depended on the kindness of strangers.’ But the story is so much deeper than that. It’s about personal discovery, confronting the unknown, our fears, risk taking and journeying through the layers of our vulnerability, and what happens when we do. It’s about connecting with the Divine, mystical realm where Love and Mercy can pierce through our world and quite literally give us a helping hand. That’s the realm where miracles happen. That’s where I’d like to have the courage to live, all of the time. — Laura Arias
