With his chilling and lovable Americana songwriting style, Jon Charles Dwyer is a name to remember, especially if you like sad songs. Listen to his music and feel the authentically bittersweet.
This song was written in the midst of a few different small tours. You find so much of yourself on the road but sometimes wonder what parts of yourself you’re losing to do so. It’s the most honest and unforgiving experience I’ve found. Mississippi is a hopeful telling of some of those experiences. — Jon Charles Dwyer
