Americana Highways presents this premiere of Seela’s video “Bad at Good,” a song from her forthcoming album Cool. Cool. was produced by Seela; recorded and mixed by Beisenherz at Ramble Creek Recording Studio in Austin, TX; and mastered by Jim Wilson. “Bad at Good” is Seela on acoustic guitar and vocals; Jon Greene on drums and percussion; Emily Gimble on piano; Wilson Marks on electric guitar; and Michael Archer on bass.
This video was created by Seela. Seela’s songwriting will hypnotize you like rain slowly dripping off the petals of a rose.
I made this video on my iPad, frame by frame, with a small dog burrowed into my hip, while avoiding doing online defensive driving. I like lyric videos and the way the song seems like it’s talking to you while you watch. I could sit on my couch and draw videos all day. This song, which will be on my upcoming album Cool., was a song game assignment. I was given the title and built the song from there. I couldn’t be happier with how it came out. Wilson Marks’ solo is so beautiful. I hope you love it. I’m excited to have Americana Highways premiere this video. What an honor! — Seela
