Song Premiere: Audrey and Hugh’s “Lily White Parade”

Listen & Watch Song Premieres

Americana Highways presents this premiere of Audrey and Hugh’s song “Lily White Parade” from their upcoming album, Sisterman due to be released on April 3rd. Sisterman was produced and engineered by Mitch Dane with assistant engineer Koehn Terry, recorded at Sputnik Sound in Nashville, and mastered by Pete Lyman.

“Lily White Parade” is Audrey MacAlpine on vocals, Hugh Trimble on vocals and acoustic guitar; Matthew Eveland on electric guitar; Dustin Ransom on piano; Paton Goskie on fiddle, Drew Niedzielski on bass and Mason Wheaton on drums. With ragtime overtones and chilling vocal weaves, Audrey and Hugh have come up with a beguiling creation in “Lily White Parade.”  Sisterman by Audrey and Hugh is a highly recommended addition for your collection this spring.

There can be a fine line between celebration and sedation. Tall shots of privilege and injustice, guilt and ignorance are easier to get down with a chaser of numb distraction – TV sets, sex and alcohol. ‘Lily White Parade’ is at once a satirical, even ominous reminder of an ill world, and a tipsy nudge to every so often let yourself off the hook. –Audrey MacAlpine
