Song Premiere: Nathan Evans Fox’s “Moonlight”

Listen & Watch Song Premieres

Americana Highways brings you this premiere of Nathan Evans Fox’s “Moonlight” from upcoming release Kindness. “Moonlight” is Nathan Evans Fox on vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, keys, drums and percussion; Dale Meyer on dobro, lead guitar; Drew Lloyd on upright bass, electric bass; and Jane Kramer on backing vocals. The album also guests Jay Moore, Lindsay Foote and Rachel Laven on backing vocals; and Taylor Swan on pedal steel. The song was recorded and mixed by Nathan Evans Fox in Glen Alpine, NC and Atlanta, GA; mastered by Jeff Carroll at Bluefield Mastering with album photos by Zach Wolfe and graphic design by Elizabeth Kelley.

With layers of mountain instruments, Nathan Evans Fox will put a wiggle in your step with this latest release. It’s a jiggy moonshine song, leaving classic tales of woe far behind in the dust.

I wrote this song because I needed some songs that could sell more drinks that my usual slow mountain mourners. But Moonlight has still got my heart and soul in it–it’s less about glorified drinking culture than it is about labor, survival, and the law. — Nathan Evans Fox
