Song Premiere: June Star’s “Long Low Simmering Kiss”

Listen & Watch Song Premieres

Americana Highways brings you this premiere of June Star’s “Long Low Simmering Kiss” from the band’s forthcoming release The Late Spring (Whistle Pig Records), available on November 22nd. The Late Spring was produced and mixed by Andrew Grimm and J Robbins, recorded at East of Eden Studios and Magpie Cage, and mastered by Dan Coutant at Sun Room Mastering.   “Long Low Simmering Kiss” is Andrew Grimm on vocals and electric guitar; Katie Feild on vocals and acoustic guitar; Ryan Finnerin on bass and Kurt Celtnieks on drums and percussion.

In alt country style with provocative electric guitar and charming harmonies, Andrew Grimm’s June Star provides another refreshing addition to the Americana music catalogue.  The seductive lyrics will have you wishing to warm with the object of your affection by a winter fire:  “before you know, you’ve been tricked into a long low simmering kiss.”  If you have yet to check out this band, now is the time.

I used to buy into the whole falling in love thing… but what they don’t tell you is that being in love is a lot of work… From what I can tell is that it’s not about uncontrollable falling; rather, it’s more like climbing a long long way up to find love. Andrew Grimm
