Heavy Diamond Ring “What If I Change”
Americana Highways is hosting this premiere of Heavy Diamond Ring’s song “What If I Change” from their new EP, Let Love Be Enough, which will be available on October 16, 2026, via Gitcha Records. The album was produced and mixed by Dan Rodriguez, engineered by Matt Patrick, and mastered by Doug Krebs.
“What If I Change” is Sarah Anderson on vocals; Paul DeHaven (songwriter) on guitar; Blake Stepan on bass; Orion Tate Ignelzi on drums; and Mike Lang on keys.
As Paul DeHaven tells us, “This song is about a long night in a canyon staying up by the campfire, spinning out, wondering, worrying, and finally waking up okay beside your lover. The song wonders about how to make love last, long term, through the trials and evolutions of life, through mistakes and missteps, through thick and thin. “I’m not the one you fell for/the years have seen to this.” The only inevitable is change. And the only road through? One day at a time.”
“What if I fall apart or break your heart?” It’s a soul searching question, a philosophical one with no answer, and one for the ages. “What If I Change” probes this very human question gently and with a spring in its step.
