Ben Musser tells us about the song: “And to Think” was born on my keyboard through melody and chords, first. It’s a fun, barreling lick that brings a smile to face. Lyrically, it was born from the slight fear and anxiety caused by my wife’s two separate surgeries where she underwent general anesthesia each time. I didn’t want the song to be dark, though, so I morphed it into a love song that does not romanticize the idea of love.”
This song is memorable melodies an and hones and open sentiment: “and to think life could go on without you fills my heart with sadness through and through.” This one’s a keeper.
