Tommy Emmanuel “Little Georgia”
Americana Highways is hosting this video premiere of Tommy Emaneul’s song “Little Georgia” from his recently released album Living In the Light. The album was produced by Tommy Emmanuel and Vance Powell; engineered and mixed by Vance Powell with assistant engineering by Kohen Terry; and mastered by Pete Lyman at Infrasonic Sound. It was recorded at Sputnik Sound in Nashville and executively produced by Brian Penix.
Tommy says this about the song, “I wrote this song for my youngest granddaughter named Georgia. It’s my prediction that she will grow into a woman of great depth.”
Tommy plays gently complex acoustic guitar melodies as this song opens. It’s an instrumental, with Tommy solo playing the melodies that carry emotions of love and promise. Footage of Tommy as he plays in his springtime flowered shirt underscores the tenderness of this lovely song.
