Bryan Titus “Building My Best Life”
Americana Highways brings you this premiere of Bryan Titus’ song “Building My Best Life” from his forthcoming album set for release later this year. The album was recorded by Joel Jacks at Mini Horse Studio in Santa Ynez, California; mixed by Joel Jacks and Bryan Titus; and mastered by Justin Shturtz at Sterling Sound in Nashville, Tennessee.
“Building My Best Life” is Bryan Titus on vocals and guitars; Jeff Kranzler on upright bass and background vocals; Dustin Janson on cajon, percussion and background vocals; and Jesse Olema on fiddle.
As Bryan tells us about the process, “This song was written by me & my wife … our first cowrite! Katie grew up in a really small town in Minnesota & I grew up in a small-ish town in CT. We just were listing off memories of growing up & how those memories influenced the people we grew up to be: how everything, good & bad, makes you who you are. Ultimately we both realized that even the hard times taught us good lessons & that we are grateful for it all.”
The guitar and fiddle twirl like the wind after the rain, and then the song opens out into a timeless sound with an insightful message: “there’s a million different trade-offs … I’m building my best life one day at a time.” This song inspires us to remember we can consciously grow toward building the best life we can imagine.
