Mike Miz – “Heroes” (Blackbird Record Label)
Americana Highways presents this premiere of Mike Miz’ song “Heroes,” a heartfelt tribute which was engineered, mixed, and produced by Matty Alger; mastered by Pete Lyman at Infrasonic Sound; and written by Michael P Mizwinski.
“Heroes” is Mike on acoustic guitar and vocals, and Laur Joamets on acoustic slide.
We’ve all lot heroes, and musical heroes, like Gregg Allman, Tom Petty, John Lennon, Jerry Garcia, and so many, too many more who have touched our lives. “Cry if you want to cry, sing if you want to sing, and love if you want to love with all you got, and that’s good enough…..I will go on now that my heroes are gone.” It’s a trauma we all need to grieve when they’re gone, and this song helps process that, with thanks to those who lit fires in our minds and hearts. Another thoughtful, lovable song by Mike Miz.
“Heroes” was written the night Greg Allman passed away, and became a tribute to all the greats we have lost in recent times. It’s also about the people we love, or the people that touched our lives, that are no longer with us. – Mike Miz
