Brynn Andre – “Celebrity”
Americana Highways brings you this video premiere of Brynn Andre’s song “Celebrity” from her recently released album Honeymoon, which was produced by Matt Patrick.
“Celebrity” is Brynn Andre on lyrics, vocals and piano; Alex Young on drums; and Matt Patrick on guitars, bass, and synthesizers.
The video was produced and edited by Brynn. Footage of Hollywood hills support lines like “there’s a place in Hollywood hills collecting dust because I never showed up.” The imagery here is distinct like eye candy and the song is thoughtful and touched with regrets. “I could have worn that dress, I could have sang to the crowds, but what could I really sing about?” But then it turns into a love song “I love our little galaxy” and the tale is complete.
I was really inspired by the exuberance of ’60s pop when writing this song. Using Hollywood as a concept is so full of lyrical ideas too, it was just a playground in terms of imagery. — Brynn Andre
