The Nadas – “Come Along for the Ride”
Americana Highways presents this video premiere of the Nadas’ song “Come Along For the Ride,” the title track from their forthcoming album with is due to be available on August 11. The album was produced by Alex Dezen (the Damnwells); engineered by Alex Dezen, Mike Butterworth, Jon Locker and Skylar Van Walbeek.
“Come Along For the Ride” is Mike Butterworth on vocals, guitars, and pedal steel; Jason Walsmith on vocals and guitars; Brian Duffey on bass; Brandon Stone on drums; Perry Ross on percussion, keys, and piano; and Alex Dezen on vocals and guitar.
The video was filmed by The Nadas. Each band member contributed footage from the road, and the amalgamation resulted in a relatable road trip vignette. Footage of a corded phone on the wall, eating in the van, a hotel computer, and landscapes rolling by and lots more captures the reality of touring, but it also captures any travel really. The song is quite catchy and easygoing.
On a recent overnight trip for a small town Iowa street dance show I asked everyone in the band to shoot some video on their phones. I took all there footage and edited a music video for the single “Come Along for the Ride” to give our fans a chance to hop in van and hit the road with us. — Jason Walsmith
