Sun Valley Station – “Cigarettes”
Americana Highways brings you this video premiere of Sun Valley Station’s song “Cigarettes” from their forthcoming album. The album was engineered, mixed, and mastered by Erik Herbst at Panhandle House in Denton, Texas.
“Cigarettes” is Jeff Hobbs on acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and vocals; Lucas Copleland on bass; Rolando Ramon on violin; Miguel Gilly on drums: Brad Sosebee on piano and organ. This song is one of lament: “the cigarettes ain’t workin,’ but there’s still one burnin’ … and I’m not all right, and I’m not okay…” You can hear the pain in Jeff Hobbs’ voice as this one promises to bring the cathartic tears, and then delivers step by sorrowful step.
The video was directed and created by Brian Monnone at Big Flavor Films @bigflavorfilms
“Cigarettes” is a ballad about loss and heartbreak. — Jeff Hobbs
