Under stardust and shimmering desert lights. Toler Gibson fades into the Las Vegas night with “River of Dust.”  A river of dust rolls right through,  “I’m gonna ride that river on a Greyhound bus, tell it to accelerate,” and listening to this song you’ll be steeped in the feel of the 70s style of quality music, while the song elicits longing for anonymity.  We’d all like to set down our burdens and our lists and melt into an setting where nothing is expected.

An attempt to reconcile romantic dreams of a bygone era with one’s own mortality, River of Dust is about a man’s desire to disappear, to go away to some dark casino where you can exist anonymously. — Gavin Toler
