Americana music fans like to turn over rocks and search high and low for that lesser-known, rare find, bright and shiny musical gem. So may we have the pleasure of pointing you in Buddy Mondlock’s direction for one of this year’s early candidates for top of the stack. A songwriter’s songwriter, known and played by some of our favorites, Buddy’s music is rich, layered, gritty, and real.
Picture two guys in a bar, the old guy and the young guy. The old guy (our narrator) is trying to impart some sort of wisdom to the young guy – if such a thing is even possible. I wrote this with my friend Max Maxson.– Buddy Mondlock
