All instrumental and vocal performances on “Late Night at the Laundromat” are by Daniel Parker.
Every Thursday is laundry night, and every Thursday there he sees his honey, unbeknownst to her, at the laundromat. It’s actually a probable scenario for an improbable crush to begin. Listen and you’ll appreciate the easy honesty that Parker conveys.

I actually wish there was a deeper meaning to the lyrics. I used to wash clothes at a small coin laundry about once a week while working in Selma, AL. Sometimes I’d meet a coworker there and accidentally hang out a bit too late while shooting the breeze. One night as I was leaving I said to myself, “well it’s been another late night at the laundromat” and I just kinda built this short story around that. — Daniel Parker
