Stefan Prigmore — “Real Man”

Americana Highways presents this premiere of Stefan Prigmore’s song “Real Man,” from his forthcoming album Everything Is At Least Both, due to be available on November 11th.

Everything Is At Least Both was produced by Clay Parker and Stefan, recorded and mixed by Clay Parker at Electric Wreck in Burnside, Louisiana. It was mastered by Todd Pipes.

“Real Man” is  Stefan on vocals, guitar, and drums; Clay Parker on Hammond organ, bass, and electric guitar; and James McCann on steel guitar.  Set in a throwback 70s bluesy production context, this song belts it out with a declaration that he is going to “love her like a real man ought to do.”  Stefan Prigmore is a highly versatile musician and songwriter — and this time he has one foot in a bucketful of the power of the blues and the other in a bucket of fluid steel country guitar solos, and the result is a swirling artistic blend.

This is one I’ve been singing for a while; it’s about loving with intention in honesty, compassion, and vulnerability. Clay’s throwback production here gave it the feel I always wanted it to have. — Stefan Prigmore
