The video was produced by Douglas Wayne of One Horse Nashville, with assistant director Rhonda Love. The video features Sarah Stewart. Driving under the stars, carefree in the night air, peaceful nostalgia — and no regrets. That’s what Douglas Wayne conjures for us here, with a casual, easy, Midwestern country rock style. And the video nicely puts the song in context.
This song’s about a place and time when I was thinking all was right with the world and driving down a quiet beach road at 2 AM in an old convertible; lost in that moment, feeling the breeze below a gazillion stars… And going quite a few mph over the speed limit. And yeah, there’s a woman at the center of all this. — Douglas Wayne
