Americana Highways is hosting this premiere of Tom Skinner’s Science Project’s song “Love Revolution” from their forthcoming album First Set, due to be available on July 15 via Horton Records. Tom Skinner’s Science Project is a group of musicians organized by Don Morris (Red Dirt Rangers) to celebrate the life of Tom Skinner, who recently passed away after contributing so much to the musical community in Oklahoma.

First Set was recorded at Fellowship Hall Sound in Little Rock, Arkansas with additional recording at Ripley Farm Studio in Oklahoma. It was engineered and mixed by Jason Weinheimer; and mastered by Kevin Lively Mastering.

The song was written by Don Morris.

“Love Revolution” is Don Morris on acoustic guitar and vocals; Dylan Layton on bass; Brad James on guitar; Rick Gomez on drums; John Fullbright on organ; Kristen Ruyle on background vocals and percussion; and Andrea Kyle on background vocals.  A funky groove sets the tone for a cathartic song about coming back together. “Put your faith in your fellow man.” Tom Skinner’s Science Project has some really catchy earworms – and some good time catchy music — with a seriously significant message. How about a Love Revolution?

After the 2016 election there was so much divisiveness I wanted to write a song that would hopefully bring the people together. – Don Morris
