Orville Peck — Humphreys By the Bay

Alt-county star Orville Peck brought his 2022 Bronco tour to a sold out, standing room only crowd at Humphreys by the Bay Concerts in San Diego, CA on April 25th.

Fresh off his performances at Coachella, the fringed mask wearing South African singer and his band put on one heck of a show to the mostly 20-something crowd of adoring fans, many donning fringed-masks themselves. As Peck walked on stage shouts of “We love you Orville” and “You’re the best” could be heard from the crowd.  His performance was outstanding and the crowd hung on every note. And as you can see from the photos, the performance is photogenic as hell.

Peck is on tour promoting his latest album, Bronco, and started his set with the opening track from the album, “Daytona Sand.” He ended the 17-song set with the title track, “Bronco”. Other songs in the set included, “Queen of the Rodeo” and “Turn to Hate” off his 2019 album, “Pony.”

Peck also covered the Graham Parsons tune, “Oooh Las Vegas.”

His encore, “Take You Back (The Iron Hoof Cattle Call)” was also from Pony.
