Saylor Dollar — “Sunday Morning” and “Music: A Love Story”
Americana Highways is highlighting two new videos from the Tallahassee, Florida band Saylor Dollar here in our Artists’ Limelight.
The distinctive band from Tallahassee, Florida, has an eclectic sound that defies the constraints of genre. Inspired by a broad spectrum of tunings and musical influences, their style may be best characterized as Americana with hints of blues, rock, and country.
The band is Dale Dollar (guitarist/composer/lyricist), Lisa Saylor Dollar (vocalist/fiddler/keyboardist/composer/lyricist), David Marsh (Percussionist), and David Schrenk (Bassist/Music Theorist).
“Sunday Morning” is from their recently released album Relentless. They perform it here at Andrew’s Downtown outdoors in Tallahassee. The song features the sunshiney vocals of Lisa Saylor Dollar and some slow tempo tunesmanship.
The second video is the official audio for the song “Music: A Love Story,” the title track from from their album that was also released recently, earlier this year. You can see the appeal of the band in Lisa’s vocals, combined with the melodic guitar playing by Dale in this uptempo number.
