Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real put on an absolutely beautiful show in Knoxville, TN on October 29th. The historic, cozy, and unique vibe of the city bleeds directly into this venue, The Mill & Mine, and all of those things combined with an artist like Lukas Nelson, made the night one to remember.

Simply put, the band and the whole show reminded me of home; of joy, celebration, and the healing power of music. He’s a poet through and through, and he’s a timeless artist, much like his father. He’s
a brilliant musician and his authentic voice rings with hope and passion.

I believe there are some people that were truly just born to make music. Lukas is one of those people. At one point, he led the crowd in a ‘gospel choir’ sing along, directing the ladies, then the guys, then all together to sing, “I hope you find yourself, before I find somebody else to be my lover.”

Soon after that moment, he played a guitar solo with his mouth. Some people were just born to play music. In a sea of people with long hair and Willie Nelson t-shirts, Lukas delivered soulful and honest live music. It is truly a treasure to be able to witness the magic he and POTR create together. He had the crowd dancing all night long. I deeply appreciate the sincerity, whole-heartedness, and charm he performs with. A Lukas Nelson and POTR concert, is an experience full of bliss, immense celebration, and gratitude. Music heals! Always has, always will!
