She took everything but me. This time she even took the pillow. That’s the all-too familiar sorrowful experience that’s chronicled in this snappy, fluid number by Zoe and Cloyd. Enjoy the comfortable sounds.
“Everything But Me” is a lighthearted, bluesy number that I co-wrote with the wonderful Jon Weisberger about the trials and tribulations of love. We had a great time figuring out all the things that the lady took from this poor fellow. In the end, he isn’t left with much, not even a pillow or his pride. I know some of us have definitely been there! — John Cloyd Miller
