Video Premiere: Twangtown Paramours “Talk About Peace”

Listen & Watch Video Premieres

Americana Highways presents this video premiere of Twangtown Paramours’ song “Talk About Peace,” from their forthcoming album Double Down on a Bad Thing, which will be released in February 2022. Double Down on a Bad Thing was produced by Mike T. Lewis and mastered by Benny Quinn Mastering.   The album’s art direction and design was courtesy of Mark Larson, with photography by Scott Simontacchi.

The duo Twangtown Paramours are three-time Kerrville finalists.

“Talk About Peace” is MaryBeth Zamer on vocals; Mike T. Lewis on guitars, bass, and keys; and Shawn Pelton on drums and percussion.

The video was produced and edited by Mike T. Lewis; the footage used in the video was filmed at the duo’s home studio.  Catch a blues groove while you consider the importance of doing more than simply talk about peace.  Twangtown Paramours are bit more blues than twang, but wait a minute for the guitar solos and experience the happy crossover.   What a pleasant style.

“Talk About Peace” was the first song written specifically for the new album. It is a plea for action instead of lip service. Every major religion tells us how to fix our broken society, which often seems set against itself: think of others before you act, love thy neighbor as thyself, don’t let ego and greed get in the way, be kind, forgive. We thought it might be a good idea to stop talking about these things and actually try doing them. This track features MaryBeth Zamer on vocals, Mike T. Lewis on guitars, bass, and keys, and legendary “Saturday Night Live” drummer Shawn Pelton on drums. — Twangtown Paramours
