Americana Highways brings you this premiere of The Deltaz’ song “I’ve Been Rejected,” from their forthcoming album. It was recorded in The Secostream Mobile Studio in Templeton, California at Venteux Vineyards, and mastered by Tommy Wiggins.
“I’ve Been Rejected” is Ted Siegel on guitar, slide guitar, and vocals; John Siegel on drums, harmonica, backing vocals, and percussion; Corey Dawson on bass; and Brandon Conway on pedal steel. Here’s a fun song in the lyrical style of the Bottle Rockets with electric slide and guitar solos. Have a rejection dance this morning!
John and I grew up listening to outlaw country like Willie, Waylon and Cash. For years we’ve wanted to write and record more in that style. Sometimes it just takes the right set of circumstances to write the songs you’ve always wanted to write. We went out line dancing and drinking one night and I found myself over doing it and getting thrown out of the last saloon we stopped at. When I woke up the next morning I had written ‘I’ve Been Rejected.’ It was so exciting for this to be one of the first recordings in the new Deltaz Mobile Airstream Studio, the Secostream. — Ted Siegel
