Americana Highways presents this video premiere of Satin Cowboy’s song “No One Was Home” from his recently released album Amigos. Amigos was recorded, mixed, and produced by Silas Hite and mastered by Hans DeKline.
“No One Was Home” on the album is Silas Hite on vocals, guitars, mandolin, banjo, accordion, pump organ, Wurlitzer, drums and percussion, with Paul Morin on upright bass. On the video it is Silas Hite solo acoustic. This video was filmed and edited by Silas Hite in his studio. A unique song by a rock solid songwriter, this is nicely showcased in bare bones acoustic fashion. For those of you who haven’t yet heard of Satin Cowboy, let this be our introduction. If you’re a fan of good songwriting, we suggest you poke through his catalogue.
“No One Was Home” is all about the lyrics. It’s a story about a woman growing up in a small town, sustaining a brain injury, and the way the community deals with her unpredictible presence. — Silas Hite
