Americana Highways brings you this sneak preview song premiere of Mark Bryan’s, of Hootie & the Blowfish, “Wishing.” Bryan is about to offer up a new album to the world — his fourth solo album — Midlife Priceless due out April 2, 2021; the first official single from that album can be in your hot little hands on October 30. Midlife Priceless was produced by Mark Bryan at Stone Point; engineered and mixed by Mikey Costanzo; and mastered by Vlado Meller Mastering.
“Wishing” is Mark Bryan on vocals and guitars. Elsewhere on the album you’ll hear bass by Tim Nielsen of Drivin N Cryin. Sit down, sit back, kick your feet up and put this one on in your headphones, it’s truly lovely.
‘Wishing’ is a song on the Hootie and the Blowfish album ‘Musical Chairs.’ The original track was written as an upbeat rock song, but as I was playing a lot of acoustic shows over the past few years, ‘Wishing’ really stuck out to me, and this acoustic version landed as the closing track on my upcoming solo album ‘Midlife Priceless.’ – Mark Bryan
