Song Premiere: Sideline’s “Southern Wind”

Listen & Watch Song Premieres

Americana Highways brings you this song premiere of Sideline’s “Southern Wind” from their upcoming album Breaks to the Edge, which was recorded, mixed and mastered by Van Atkins at Crossroads Studios / Arden, NC. “Southern Wind” is Skip Cherryholmes on guitar and vocals; Steve Dilling on banjo and vocals; Troy Boone on mandolin and vocals; Jason Moore on bass and vocals; Daniel Greeson on fiddle and Bailey Coe on vocals

With lovely lilting fiddle and a classic country vocal, “Southern Wind” will open up and tap into your longing for fair weather. Breaks to the Edge is a contemporary classic country album, with its lyrically nostalgic lines like “a heart of gold and an iron hand that made me who I am,” and casual stringed country music style.

“‘Southern Wind’ is another amazing tune penned by Mark ‘Brink’ Brinkman, who seems to know how to catch the hearts of people with his songs. I love the way Bailey sings this song — he pulls you right in with a strong, heartfelt performance. This may be my favorite cut on the whole project. — banjoist and band founder Steve Dilling.
