Song Premiere: Craig Greenberg’s “Sailed Ships”

Listen & Watch Song Premieres

Americana Highways brings you this song premiere of Craig Greenberg’s “Sailed Ships” from his forthcoming album. The album was produced by Chris Cubeta  (A Great Big World, Jukebox The Ghost) and Craig Greenberg, with additional production by Gary Atturio, and mixing by Jeff Berner. It was recorded and mixed at Studio G in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

“Sailed Ships” is Craig Greenberg on piano, electric guitar, synthesizers and vocals, with Hiroyuki Matsuura on drums and Don Kennedy Albert on bass.  In a rockin’ piano number, Craig Greenberg manages to mask the painful in the glorious.

In a nutshell the song is about dealing w/ the approaching end of youth and the frustrations that can come along w/ that, and reassessing if you have the same goals that you did when you first started out on your path.  it’s a theme that i think runs as an undercurrent throughout the album.   But even though the song is a bit self-pitying, it does have a of happy ending.. the character doesn’t give up. — Craig Greenberg
