Americana Highways bring you this song premiere of Callie McCullough’s “Feathers” which will officially out on October 24, from her forthcoming EP, After Midnight, which is due out March 27.   After Midnight was produced by Dustin Olyan with assoc. producer Scotty Kipfer; engineered by Dustin Olyan and Steve Blackmon with assistant engineers Bryce Roberts and Zaq Reynolds; mixed by Dustin Olyan and mastered by Paul Blakemore.  Musicians on he album include Brent Burke (Rhonda Vincent) on dobro; Stuart Duncan on fiddle; Dustin Olyan on mandolin, acoustic guitar and high strung guitar, electric guitar, B3, electric piano, and pads; Jeff Taylor (The Time Jumpers)on flute, accordions, and wurlitzer;  Russ Pahl on pedal steel and electric guitars; John Thomasson on electric bass; Shawn Fitcher on drums; Emily Nelson on cello; Rachel Button on background vocals and Callie McCullough on vocals.

With a fast paced Western upswell, “Feathers” will have you riding horseback on the open range with a sorrowful breakup song.  McCullough’s powerful vocal range will frees you from your tethers as you rise aloft with her on After Midnight. 

‘Feathers’ is a story about resilience and walking away from people and situations that break you down. We were inspired by a portrait of Feathers hanging on the wall of the studio that day, so we used them to tell the story of the time it takes to heal and find confidence again. — Callie McCullough
