Americana Highways presents this premiere of NRBQ’s “Nature’s Gonna Pay You Back (Live),” from their upcoming release Turn On, Tune In, due to be released on September 6 on Omnivore Records. Turn On, Tune In is 21 tracks, and 6 never-before recorded songs; 6 songs were recorded during a live take at SiriusXM’s The Loft, and 15 which came from WFMU’s Monty Hall show. These latter tracks were recorded with notes by WFMU DJ Bob Brainen.
NRBQ is Terry Adams on keyboards and vocals; Scott Ligon on guitar and vocals, Casey McDonough on bass and vocals; and John Perrin on drums. “Nature’s Gonna Pay You Back (Live) is a brand new song written by Terry Adams, with the freshest of grooves and energy we love about him and NRBQ. NRBQ is notorious for their serendipitous live performances, as well as the band’s insisting they record live, and here we get treated to watching them on some of these audio radio shows. This particular performance was recorded for WFMU.
